Small Town, Big Dreams!
Incorporated in 1895, the Town of Pembroke is a proud, heritage-rich community nestled in the pine trees of Robeson County, NC. Just minutes from I-95 and close to Raleigh, Charlotte, and the Carolina beaches, Pembroke is known as the cultural, social, and commercial center of the Lumbee Tribe, the largest American Indian tribe east of the Mississippi.
Pembroke is also home to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, one of the fastest-growing and most diverse campuses in the UNC system. In addition, Robeson Community College, Lumbee Holdings, and the popular Wing Company restaurant are located inside the A.S. Thomas Center, further strengthening Pembroke’s role as a hub for education, culture, dining, and community growth.
